Maintenance Specialist Mechanic – Ottawa

Reporting to the Road Foreman, the maintenance specialist mechanic will assist the lead mechanic in equipment maintenance directly on job sites for Ottawa region. Traveling in a lubrication truck, they will move from one client to another to perform machine maintenance according to established checklists, as well as note any necessary corrections. They will also be responsible for carrying out some minor repairs as agreed upon with clients.

Job Information:

  • Work on the road – Bonus offered.
  • Interventions are carried out outside regular working hours, so it involves an evening shift – Bonus offered.
Main Responsibilities:
  • Perform maintenance directly on job sites;
  • Execute repairs requested by clients and approved by the foreman;
  • Complete maintenance checklists in a standardized manner;
  • Prepare quotes for upcoming work and submit them to the foreman;
  • Complete various important documents (work orders, warranty tags, inspection certificates, etc.);
  • Any other related tasks.
Experience and Skills Required:
  • DEP (Diplôme d’études professionnelles) in construction machinery mechanics or heavy vehicle mechanics;
  • Minimum of one year of relevant experience in construction machinery or heavy vehicle mechanics;
  • Good interpersonal skills and team spirit;
  • Organized, motivated, and meticulous person;
  • Diligent and independent
